Hawker GmbH, one of the leading industrial battery manufacturers, has been relying on KS-Logistic for transport logistics and intermediate storage for many years. In 2011, the division Stand By Systeme was awarded to KS-Logistic on the basis of a long-term contract including warehousing, order picking and required finishing services. The previous warehouses, some of them in the neighboring EU regions, were closed and moved to the new storage location in Schwerte. In addition to the many years of trusting cooperation, the decision for KS-Logistic as a service provider was based on the fulfillment of Hawker's clear and structured specifications.

These included, among others:

• Use of the Hawker SAP system to keep up-to-date with all stock movements and the status of ongoing order processing
• Suitable spatial conditions including hazardous goods storage
• Improvement of quality and delivery performance
